Ely Cathedral is the thing you see before you see Ely. Soham, Isleham, Wicken, Prickwillow, Queen Adelaide and Chippenham (the Cambridgeshire one) sit around the isle. The cathedral is not a car park. The city is a small one.
Route notes
A10 or A142. Ely station is down the hill from the cathedral, which is the whole geography. Soham is a town in its own right. Wicken has the fen. Chippenham in this list is not the Wiltshire one. If you are in the cathedral close, we need a car park, not the Palace Green. Far from Loughton. We come up the M11 and then the A10.
