Chingford is where Epping Forest puts a hand on the North Circular. Chingford Mount, Highams Park, Friday Hill, Sewardstone and Sewardstonebury climb into actual countryside before the M25 does.
Route notes
A104 or the A112 from Loughton — we are close, which is why this is a short run. Sewardstone is a lane along the valley; it feels further than the map. Highams Park station car park is the usual suburban trap. If you are in the forest (not the town), give us a car park name. 'In the trees' is not a marker.
