Close to the yard
EN9
Waltham Abbey is the gunpowder mill and the M25's north-east corner. Nazeing, Lower Nazeing, Upshire, Holyfield and the Lee Valley White Water Centre fill the rest — glasshouses, valley, and a white-water course that draws traffic from further than the town does.
Route notes
M25 J26 or the A121 through the forest. We are close; this is still a core run. The gunpowder mill has its own car park. The White Water Centre has an events calendar that will ruin an afternoon if you do not mention it. Nazeing is lanes and nurseries; a van and a tractor will meet. Upshire is the hill toward the forest, slow in ice.
