Great Notley was planned. Great Notley Country Park is the green bit they left. Cressing, Black Notley and Rayne are older. The A120 still runs past all of them.
Route notes
A120, then the Notley roundabouts. The country park has a car park. Skyline Plaza / the Notley retail is obvious standing. Rayne is a village with a road that people use as a cut-through. Cressing has a temple barn that is a landmark, not a grid reference for a van. We treat this as Braintree's shoulder, not as Chelmsford.
