Hatfield Forest is the reason people who do not live here have heard of Hatfield Heath. Takeley, Elsenham, Sheering, Henham, Ugley, Hatfield Broad Oak, Great and Little Hallingbury — villages in the Stansted orbit, none of them the airport.
Route notes
M11 J8, then the A120 or the back lanes. Takeley is the village the airport traffic actually sits in. Hatfield Forest has a National Trust car park with hours. Ugley is a real name; we will not snigger on the phone. Elsenham has a level crossing. If you meant the airport, that is CM24. Say so.
