Jump start. Dead battery, lights that were left on, a car that has sat for a fortnight in a station car park.
We jump it. If it fires and stays running, that may be the whole job. If it does not hold a charge, you need a battery, and we can fit one if we have the right one on the van — or we tell you to get it tested.
Stop-start cars and the newer BMWs are fussy. We do not clip a booster on and hope. If it needs a specialist charger, we say that.
This is often the same call as a puncture you found after it sat all weekend. Mention both so we bring the right kit in one trip.
