Fairlop Waters is a lake with a country park attached, and Barkingside, Hainault and Fullwell Cross are the housing that grew up against it. Nobody kerbs a wheel on the water. They do it on the A12 slip and in the retail parks that feed off Fullwell Cross.
Route notes
A12 or the A123, depending which side of Hainault you are on. Fairlop station car park is a regular one: tight bays, a height restriction, and a train you were hoping to catch. If you are at the Waters, tell us the activity — sailing club and the car park by the lake are not the same entrance.
