Southend Pier is the long fact. Adventure Island, the seafront, Southchurch and Thorpe Bay sit along it. The city centre is behind that. The seafront is a different job to the high street.
Route notes
A13 or A127. Seafront on a warm Saturday is a slow crawl with nowhere to stand. Thorpe Bay is calmer and further east. Southchurch is inland. If you are at the pier, say the pier, and then say which car park, because the seafront has several and they fill. This is far from Loughton. We will not talk as if it is the next town.
