The Port of Tilbury still moves things. Tilbury town, East Tilbury, West Tilbury and Coalhouse Fort are the rest: a ferry, a fort, and villages that watched the docks grow past them.
Route notes
A13 then the A1089 into the port or the town. The port has a gate process; we are not 'popping in'. East Tilbury is a village and a station with a long, odd approach. Coalhouse Fort is a car park at the end of a lane — fine by day, a different proposition after dark. West Tilbury is agricultural. Tell us port, town, or fort. Those are three different last miles.
