Maldon still has a Hythe and a hill. Heybridge and Heybridge Basin are the water side. Tollesbury, the Tolleshunts, Goldhanger, Great Totham, Langford and the Woodhams — Dengie-adjacent, flat, and further than the town suggests.
Route notes
A414 from Chelmsford, or A12 then A414. The Hythe is cobbles and tourists. The Basin is a boat yard. Tollesbury is a long, straight, exposed road when the wind is up. If you are on the Prom, say so; it is not the high street. This is a far run from Loughton. The van comes up the A12 and then east. There is no Maldon depot.
