Chelmsford City Racecourse is in Great Leighs, not in the city. Boreham Interchange is the A12/A130. South Woodham Ferrers is a town on the Crouch. Thirty names live in CM3. It is not one place. It is a county in a code.
Route notes
Tell us the actual name first. Racecourse, Hyde Hall, Stow Maries aerodrome, Rettendon Turnpike, Maylandsea, Danbury, Boreham — those are different last miles. The A12 and A130 will get us to the right junction. The Dengie-facing villages are a long, flat, slow end. We will not treat South Woodham Ferrers as 'just Chelmsford'. It is not.
