CM1
Chelmsford station is the Great Eastern at full tilt. The Cathedral, ARU, Broomfield Hospital, Beaulieu Park, Springfield, Writtle and the Easters are the rest of CM1. A city that is also a county town, and a hospital that generates its own traffic.
Route notes
A12 to Chelmsford, then the right ring road. Broomfield Hospital is a site, not a street — which car park. Beaulieu Park is new and still growing; sat-nav lags. Writtle is a village with a college. The Easters are actually villages with Easter in the name. We are coming up the A12 from the south-west, not from a Chelmsford unit. There is not one.
